Its Been A While....

Heyy sorrry it's been a few weeks! Iv been slacking! (slap on wrist!) Iv been working far to much lately and neglected my blog for far too long!

I have been putting extra hours in work for some extra pennys as it is coming up to my most favorite time of the year! Easter!

A whole 3 days of non-stop drinking and getting to see all those faces that have been away at uni! In our lovely little town by the sea it seems everybody has the same idea every year and flocks down to the seafront for plenty of live music and lots of beer!

Anyhoo...my next tattoo has been pencilled in for 29th march! And I'm uber excited! I have planned to get my left inner forearm done!! It's Gunna be a biggie!

 I have went for a idea iv thought about for quite some time now and think it's a great start to my sleeve!

I have left the design upto the tattoo artist which will consist of Roses, a vintage filigree style scissors and a cut-throat razor! A Nod to my career as a hairdresser! I have left it entirely in his hands but I know he will do a swell job!

I will post a picture up as soon as it's done! Also I promise i will update more regularly ladies!

Toxic Nature...

I am a huge fan of alternative makeup brand Ilamasqua! Each Collection that has been unveiled has been even better than its predecessor and TOXIC NATURE is no different! I am in awe of the extraordinary, eccentric artwork and imagery that just makes u simply say WOW! 

 I have my beady eye on one or two items...Im craving a new bright nail polish and 'Gamma' described as Neon Orange fits the bill ! 

I Also think ill purchase the Precision in 'Glister'. I am a huge fan of the precision inks! The one thing i couldnt live without in my makeup bag is my 'Abyss' eyeliner!! It doesnt even budge! Even after a heavy night out i coud still happily go another day with my eyeliner exactly the way it was when i applied it! No smudging at all!  

Im am curious to see what 'Glister' swatches like...its described as a 'nude coloured alternative to classic liner' . 

I Cant wait to give it a go! 

This collection is due out online March 10th and 17th instores.

Transformation Day...

I had originally booked a lazy day off from work today as i have been running the salon for the last few weeks so the boss could have a well deserved holiday... but as usual i ended up doing my friends hairs! I had mega fun doing a fab transformation on my friend Melissa.

I took her from dark brown to Ultra Bright Red!

Red is definitely the hottest colour this spring! We Took inspiration from the Superstar that is Rihanna and the Dazzling Florence Welch.

This American beauty is Little Linda. She is my inspiration for me getting tattooed! Being a highly regarded tattoo artist herself she also Model, Vegan and Straight Edge! Alot to be admired for! Little Linda is regularly used as a pin-up Model for Tattoo Lifestyle magazines such as Total Ink , Tattoo Energy and Inked Girls etc.

Download Vs Sonishpere...

Festival season is drawing near and im extremely undecided as to which festival to go to?

Bearing in mind this will be my first ever one! 

I have always been put off by going because im not a happy camper. Not that im high maintenance or anything but i gotta wash and that is a deal breaker!

 So im compromising with my fella and we have decided to take a campervan ! Rolling in style ... Our own loo, telly, bed, everything and the kitchen sink! 

Soo where to go? 

Each festival is equal in quality acts and if i could create my dream line up i would merge alot of the bands. At £200 roughly for a weekend ticket its impossible to do both which makes me very sad.

As Download has a bigger venue and operates more stages, the number of acts on the bill is significantly higher than Sonisphere but does quantity equal quality? 

Download has most of my very favorite bands, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, All That Remains. they bring some serious choice! Most of them i have seen a few times already but i know how great they are and could almost watch them live every night. 

The only let down for me is the headliners , Def Leppard , System of a down and Linkin Park.

Sonisphere on the other hand has Bagged the Big 4! Metallica , Slayer , Megadeth and Anthrax! Metallica alone is a big draw for me! Other Amazing bands In Flames, Parkway Drive and Slipknot also on the bill! Urghhh decisions, decisions!!

It all Started with that Ink itch...

A new day has dawned! I have decided to start my Blog about my passion and curiosity i have about all Tattoos and Body Modification.I like most people have that desire to change or enhance parts of your body for a desired effect! For somes its fake breasts, for me its skin art! I hope to find the reasons behind the art and find some fantastic interpretations of peoples life stories etched onto their skin...

I'll start with my first tattoo, its a love/hate relationship.

As Typical 16 year old, peer pressure from friends , picked the first piece of flash i thought was 'cool'. A small piece of tribal on my lower back. Now 7 years on its a mistake i will permanently be reminded of. My purpose of this blog is to document my tattoos as they progress and find the strange and wonderful body art that anybody strives to show off. 

This tattoo is my 3rd..the second being a very small and very untidy star on my foot, not very impressive either.

I have a love for Neo-traditional Tattoos. I would describe them as old school tattoos with a new twist.

HairRaising....

A few weeks ago my Salon and i took part in an amature photo shoot to showcase our creativity and basically see what our mind came up with...we had limited resources but i think we came up with a few cracking photos...

This style was loosely based on a 'vintage' style, my aim to give her that rag doll look...

Whimsical?

This look was created with a 'Amazonial woman' idea... 

Unrefined?

This last look was created as an homage to old school glamour...

Understated?

I'm hoping to do many more shoots like this in the near future continuously creating the weird and  wonderful!
